Enhance your workflow with CORA App for Slack, bringing the power of CORA directly to your Slack channels.

Install CORA on your Slack workspace by clicking the installation link and granting the necessary permissions: Install CORA for Slack.

Note that using CORA for Slack requires an active license of the CORA app for JSM - CORA - Your JSM Portal AI Chatbot.

With CORA integrated into Slack, you can streamline communication, enhance collaboration, and resolve issues more efficiently - all without leaving your favorite workspace.

Triggers & Engagement:

  • CORA for Slack operates exclusively through the App’s messages tab, ensuring a secure and focused environment. Each user can have their own private chat with CORA, providing a personalized and efficient experience.

  • Key Points:

    • CORA does not interact in public channels or group chats.

    • Slash commands are not supported.

    • To activate CORA, simply send a message to CORA within the app’s messages tab.

Set Up

For seamless integration of CORA with your Slack workspace, ensure that the following requirements are met:

  • Active JSM CORA App: CORA must be licensed and installed on your Atlassian site.

  • Admin Permissions: Your Atlassian site admin must grant CORA access to External Integrations. For detailed steps, refer to our CORA Admin Page.

  • CORA App for Slack: Install the CORA App to your workspace and grant all necessary scopes.

Installing the CORA Plugin for Jira Service Management on Slack

Pre-installation Requirements

  1. Ensure you have an Atlassian site with an active CORA license.

  2. Confirm that the site admin has enabled Integration with Slack in the CORA configuration page in Jira apps.

Installation Steps

  1. Initiate Installation

    • Click the following installation link Install CORA for Slack.

    • Select your Slack workspace and confirm the installation.

  1. Authorize CORA

    • Open the CORA app in Slack and go to the Home tab.

    • Click the OAuth authorization link.

    • If you are not an Atlassian site admin, copy the link and send it to your admin for approval.

  1. Complete Setup

    • Once authorization is complete, refresh Slack and return to CORA's Home tab.

    • Verify that CORA is connected to the correct Atlassian site.

  2. Start Using CORA

    • Begin interacting with CORA by sending a message in Slack.

User Guide

Once setup is done:

Users can engage with CORA by sending messages in the app’s private channel.

Note: As an AI-based tool, CORA may occasionally provide inaccurate responses.

Conversations:

CORA facilitates dynamic, interactive conversations, making it easy for users to communicate and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Each response from CORA includes a “Reset Chat” button, allowing users to start a new conversation at any time.

  • When a new conversation begins, CORA announces it with a clear, dedicated message to ensure context is reset and the user knows they’re starting fresh.

Tips for Optimal Use:

  • Ask for Help: Clearly describe your problem or the information you need. Examples:

    • “How do I...”

    • “Who is responsible for...”

  • Request Actions: When asking CORA to create a request be explicit. Example:

    • “Open a ticket about...”

    • “I want to open a support request…”

  • Follow-Up Actions: CORA can create tickets or perform tasks based on your previous conversation context.
